RISE 2023 was an incredible show. We loved connecting with roofers across North America in the spring and summer. We loved it so much, in fact, that we wanted to do it once more before the end of the year.

Excitement is building as the RISE Fall 2023 show approaches! We’re going to four more cities to connect with roofers and business owners. If you're an established or emerging roofing business owner or sales leader, this one-day event is your ticket to gaining the tools you need to scale your business fast. With speaking sessions and demos galore, it's a day packed with opportunities for growth, networking, and learning. To make the most of this event, preparation is key.

Where will RISE be next?

We're currently planning out 2024 RISE shows! Stay tuned by visiting our RISE webpage!

Why events like RISE matter for you as a Roofer

Roofing is one of the oldest building practices out there, but it is also one of the fastest moving. Changes to the industry are happening at lightening speed. While that is exciting for roofers, it also makes it really hard to stay on top of the trends and practices to keep your business booming.

Learning and networking opportunities don’t happen often for roofers and we build RISE to help close that gap. We highly encourage you to prioritize attending this event, or any other roofing industry event. Carving time to develop you and your business will help you grow and adapt. Plus, it’s a lot of fun.

Get the met out of RISE: 9 Tips

Here are the top 9 things you can do to prepare for RISE.

1. Mark your calendar and register early

Dates are above!! Check your calendars and sign up today. Even though fall is coming, roofing season can stay busy. Marking your calendar will make sure that RISE doesn’t slip your mind. Signing up nice and early means you’ll get reminder emails and info on speakers delivered right to you. You can register here.

2. Set clear objectives

Before you even step foot into RISE, take some time to set clear objectives for what you want to achieve by attending. Are you looking to gain insights on the latest roofing trends? Do you want to network with potential partners or clients? Are you aiming to discover new tools and technologies to streamline your business operations? Having well-defined objectives will help you make the most of your time at the event, and decide who you in your business you want to bring with you.

3. Research the speakers and sessions

We have an impressive lineup of speakers and sessions designed to equip you with valuable knowledge and skills. Our Rags 2 Ridges session panel will feature some local roofing business owners and professionals who will share their own personal stories and experiences.

Some of the speakers we have included in the past are:

  • Paul Swingle, Owner of Lucent Energy Management
  • Diego Dante, CEO of RoofCon
  • Claudia Ubl, Co-Owner of Ubl Roofing
  • Hunter Ballew, CEO of Cornerstone Construction and RoofCon
  • Amanda Praml, Owner of Maven Roofing

4. Network strategically

Networking is one of the biggest benefits to RISE. With roofers and business owners from all over the area attending, you can take this opportunity to get to know the people around you. Expanding your network is never bad for business. We also have a number of sponsors, including Business 411, iink payments, ETC so you can connect with their team, too.

5. Come prepared with questions

The beauty of events like RISE is the opportunity to learn directly from seasoned business owners. Come prepared with a list of questions you'd like to ask during Q&A sessions or when you have the chance to engage with speakers and presenters. Questions about business, marketing, social media, and everything in between are welcome.

6. Dress comfortably and professionally

While you want to be comfortable throughout the day, it's also important to dress professionally. You'll be mingling with industry professionals, so make a good impression. Don’t forget your branded work wear! You will be able to sit for the event, but standing and networking will be a part of the day.

7. Bring the essentials

Pack a bag with the essentials to ensure a smooth day at RISE. Here's a checklist to get you started:

  • Purchase your tickets ahead of time: Seats are limited and they go FAST. To make sure you reserve a seat for you and your team, don’t delay and purchase your $25 tickets early.
  • Notebook and pen: You'll want to jot down important insights and takeaways from sessions.
  • Chargers: Ensure your devices stay powered up throughout the day.
  • Water bottle: Stay hydrated to keep your energy up. Water will be available at the events.
  • Business cards: Bring more than you think you'll need for networking.
  • A backpack or tote bag: You'll need something to carry all your essentials and any materials you collect during RISE. (We may have some swag for you to take home, too!)

8. Take notes and stay engaged

A LOT of info will come your way during RISE. And there’s no way you’ll remember it all once you get home. Be sure to take notes — even point form ones — throughout the day so you don’t forget any of your “ah-ha!” moments.

Questions are also welcome during and after sessions. Don’t feel bad or be afraid to speak up. That’s what RISE is for!

9. Reflect and implement

After the event concludes, take some time to reflect on what you've learned and the connections you've made. This is often the biggest step that people miss after an event. You’ll learn a lot, and you need time to think through it all and how it could impact you. Consider blocking off time in your calendar for the day after RISE to think through what you learned and reflect. From there, you can create an action plan that outlines the steps you'll take to scale your business and achieve your objectives.

RISE: We can’t wait to see you there!

The Fall RISE show will be an incredible opportunity for roofing business owners and sales leaders to learn new things,  and expand their networks. By following these preparation tips, you'll be well-equipped to make the most of this one-day event and take your roofing business to new heights. Register today and we will see you soon!
