At Roofr, we’re proud to say that:

  • 100% of employees say this is a physically and emotionally safe place to work
  • 100% say people here are treated fairly, regardless of their race, gender, or sexual orientation
  • And 100% feel encouraged to balance their work life and personal life

Why mental wellness at work matters

Mental wellness isn’t just a “nice-to-have”—it’s a business and human imperative. When employees feel safe, supported, and emotionally healthy, they can focus, innovate, collaborate, and thrive. It leads to better decisions, stronger relationships, and sustainable performance over time.

Some of the ways that Roofr prioritizes mental wellness include:

  • First week mandatory PTO: Take a break between jobs to rest and recover so you can kickstart your new career at Roofr feeling ready for a fresh start.
  • Monthly laundry days: One day a month that doesn’t count towards regular PTO so even the most focused workers still get a break every month.
  • Company benefits: Access to massage therapy, counseling services, and other medical benefits help employees feel their best without the stress of extra costs.

But just as importantly as these tangible benefits, true mental wellness comes from feeling seen, valued, and respected for who they are—not just what they do. That’s how trust is built. That’s how great teams grow.

And that’s why Roofr is committed to embedding wellness into every layer of our culture—from flexible schedules and meaningful time off to benefits people actually use.

“When I started Roofr, I said, ‘I want to build a company where people love coming to work on Mondays.’ That’s only possible if you support your team, trust them, provide an environment that champions them being their authentic selves, and most importantly, treat them like humans. This is core to our culture and success at Roofr.”
Richard Nelson, CEO

Mental wellness isn’t a buzzword here—it’s built into our culture

But don’t just take our word for it—here’s what our team had to say:

“The team culture here is incredibly supportive—it makes taking risks and trying new ideas feel exciting and safe. And with perks like Laundry Days, I get a whole Friday each month to reset, run errands, or just relax. It takes so much pressure off the workweek.”
Erin Amundson

“Working at Roofr has been a game-changer for my mental health. I love booking massage therapy sessions for stress relief, and being able to work from home means I can take a mental health walk during lunch. But the best part is the culture—everyone truly shows up for one another.”
Emma Caswell

“Roofr has created a culture that feels supportive, open to collaboration, while still striving for results. Having the space and trust to manage my schedule—plus Laundry Days!—has made a real difference in my well-being.”
Dale Osborne

“Being part of a culture where I can be open, transparent, and even vulnerable, not just with leadership but as a leader myself, means I never feel emotionally depleted. I get to be unapologetically myself, even during the tough weeks, and that’s rare and powerful.”
Joana Graça

Proud, grateful, and growing together

This recognition is a celebration of our people, our leadership, and the culture we’re building—together.

Mental health isn’t a one-size-fits-all topic. That’s why we’ll keep listening, evolving, and showing up for one another with empathy and intention. Because we believe that when people feel safe, supported, and seen, they do their best work—and that’s the foundation of everything we build here at Roofr.
