Roofr of the Month

Just over a year ago, Jacob LaRue co-founded Honeydew Roofing with a vision rooted in hustle, integrity, and long-term growth. Starting with a single San Antonio office and big dreams, he and his team are already expanding into Frisco and Austin — and that’s just the beginning.
Jacob’s journey into roofing wasn’t planned. After running a landscaping business and realizing the toll it was taking on his health, he pivoted into sales at a roofing company. From there, he helped grow that business from the ground up to $30M in under three years. Those hard-won lessons — leadership, structure, scalability — now power Honey Do Roofing.
What makes Honeydew Roofing different? It’s not just about putting shingles on homes. Jacob is building a true business: W2 staff, wrapped company trucks, streamlined production processes, and 50+ automations in Roofr. The goal? Turn Honeydew Roofing into a one-stop shop for all home services — built to scale, built to last.
From early SOP overhauls to texting proposals to customers, Jacob is proving that roofing companies don’t have to be scrappy forever — they can be smart, tech-driven, and sustainable from day one.
"We don’t want to just run a roofing business — we’re building something that lasts.”
Automations make the world go ‘round
Jacob uses over 57 custom automations — and he's still building more. His goal? To reduce mental load, keep leads moving through the pipeline, improve customer communication, and streamline internal operations.
