Managing company documentation just got a whole lot easier with Roofr’s new File Manager! Whether you need to attach documents to proposals, send files to customers, or reference important job-related information, File Manager keeps everything in one easy-to-access place.

What is File Manager?
Think of File Manager as your team’s central “source of truth” for documents. It ensures everyone has the right files—like images, PDFs, or key resources—at their fingertips. No more digging around or second-guessing!
How to Access the File Manager
- Look to the left-hand menu in your Roofr account.
- Under the Manage section, click on the File Manager tab.
💡 Pro Tip: This is your team’s hub for all things documents, so upload any documents and PDFs you'd like your team to be able to access at any time.
Uploading Files and Creating Folders
Here’s how to organize your files like a pro:
- In the top-right corner of File Manager, you’ll see options to:
- Create Folder: Perfect for organizing documents into labeled categories (e.g., "Product Brochures," "Customer Contracts," etc.).
- Upload Files: Quickly upload any images or PDFs you want your team to access.
- Once uploaded, your files will be visible to the whole team—but only managers or admins can add or delete files. This keeps things tidy and secure!
Using File Manager in Proposals
Need to pull a document into a proposal? Easy!
- Open the proposal and click the blue plus button on the left-hand side.
- Select Add PDF to add your document.
- From your device: Upload a PDF directly from your computer or tablet.
- From job attachments: Pull files already added to the specific job card.
- From File Manager: Select any document stored in File Manager.
This flexibility means your team can quickly grab the right document for any situation, and send that proposal off for signature as quickly as possible.

FAQs:
Can my team members upload or delete documents into my File Manager?
- Only Team Admin and Managers will be able to add or delete files from the File Manager. Similar to templates, members of your team will be able to view and use the files uploaded, but not change them.
Can I edit documents I’ve uploaded to File Manager within Roofr?
- At the moment, you can store and use documents uploaded in the File Manager, however you can’t edit them within Roofr. This is a feature that will be coming in early 2025, so stay tuned! 🤩
Is there a maximum amount of documents I can upload?
- On Pro subscriptions, you’ll be able to upload 2 documents to your File Manager, on Premium you can upload 10, and on Elite you can store up to 50.
Can I add File Manager documents to my customer communications?
- Not yet, but will be a feature coming soon!
Why can’t my team member see the document I uploaded to the job card?
- If you uploaded a document or image to a job card, only the team member who is assigned to that job will be able to see the job details, including the attachments. If you’d like to upload a document that can be accessed by the entire team, upload it to your File Manager.
