Add Roofr as an App to Your Smartphone

What it does: Allows you to add the Roofr Dashboard as an app on your smartphone so you can quickly access your account.

Prerequisites:*  A smartphone (iPhone, Samsung, etc)

Here’s how it works (iPhone):

Step 1: Use your preferred internet browser to login to your Roofr account on your iPhone (https://app.roofr.com/dashboard).

Step 2: Once you're logged in to your account, tap/click on the URL in the search bar.

Step 3: Tap on the URL again, ensuring the full URL is highlighted, and then click the "copy" button.

Step 4: Leave your internet browser app, and then search for the "Shortcuts" app on your iPhone.

Step 5: Open the "Shortcuts" app and tap/click the "+" button on the top right corner.

Step 6: Tap/click the "+ Add Action" button.

Step 7: Tap/click the "Apps" icon and then tap/click on the app of your preferred internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc).

Step 8: Select "Open URLs in Chrome" and then tap/click the "URL" button (next to the word "Open" in the new shortcut).

Step 9: After tapping on "URL" tap it again and then click "Paste" (if needed, repeat steps 1-4 to copy the URL again).

Step 10: Once the URL is pasted, tap/click on the three dots (...) near the top right corner.

Step 11: Name the "Shortcut" as "Roofr" or "Roofr App".

Step 12 (optional): If desired, click on the image next to the new "Shortcut Name" (Roofr, Roofr App), and select the preferred color for the app.

PRO TIP: Click on the icon next to the new shortcut screen to "Choose Photo" and upload the Roofr logo image (included below, tap/right click to save image).

Step 13: Next, click the "Add to Home Screen" button below the new Shortcut Name you entered.

Step 14: Click the "Add" button on the top right corner.

Step 15: Once all info is added, click the "Done" button on the top right corner.

Step 16: Once you click the first "Done" button, click the "Done" button again on the top right corner.

Step 17: That's it! The new Roofr app should be added to your iPhone screen.

Here’s how it works (Chrome for Android):

Step 1: Use your preferred internet browser to login to your Roofr account on your smartphone (https://app.roofr.com/dashboard).

Step 2: Once you're logged in to your account, tap/click on the three buttons at the top of your page.

Step 3: Then, click the "Add to Home Screen" button.

Step 4: Then click the "Add" button and the "Add" button again (may show up to confirm once or twice, depending on device).

Step 5: Close Chrome, and the new "Roofr App" should be on your home screen.
