How to Manage Questions on Your Instant Estimate

What it does: Allows you the flexibility to choose which questions are included on your Instant Estimator for your leads to fill out.

Purpose: To collect the most critical information you need from leads, while delivering the best user experience

Prerequisites: On the Elite plan and using the Instant Estimator

Available On: Elite Plan

Here’s how it works:

Each Instant Estimator link you create can be customized. This allows you flexibility to manage the questions that are included based on your business, the lead source, or by the rep. You can test which questions are getting the best results, and exclude questions you don’t need to ask.

There’s two ways to customize:

  1. Edit existing estimates
  2. Create a new estimate

Edit Questions on Existing Estimates

Step 1: Go to the list of your estimator links on the “Instant Estimator” page and choose the estimator you would like to edit by clicking on the name. Or, click the ellipses and choose “Manage”.

Step 2: Click the “Manage Questions” button at the top of your page.

Step 3: By default, all the questions at enabled. From the list of questions, you can turn questions on or off using the toggle on the left hand side of the question.

Note: Address, material, and contact information questions cannot be turned off.

Pro Tip: Before turning anything off, click on the question to preview what the question will look like to the homeowner. This will give you a good feel for the user experience.

Step 4: Click save, and return to the main page of the estimator. From here you can preview your updated estimator.

Create a New Estimate with Custom Questions

Step 1: Go to the list of your estimator links on the “Instant Estimator” page and choose “+ New Estimator”.

Step 2: Click the “Manage Questions” button at the top of your page. By default, all the questions at enabled.  Use the toggles to enable or disable questions on your new estimator.

Step 3: Hit save, and return to the main page of the estimator to preview your instant estimator and finish setting up the rest of your details. For a full walkthrough of setting up your Instant Estimates, click here.
