How to Send a Proposal

Learn how to send a proposal to prospective clients in just a few clicks.

What it does: Allows you to create and send a professionally designed proposal to prospective clients in minutes.


Purpose: Saves you time by emailing a copy of your proposal to your clients digitally.

  • Clients can view the proposal on any device (Mobile, Web, Tablet)
  • Clients can e-sign the proposal on any device (Mobile, Web, Tablet)*
  • Close more deals in less time
  • Track all proposals and their status in one location

*Not available with Pro plans.


Prerequisites*:  A proposal must have been drafted and is ready to be sent.

*Requirements to send a proposal.


Available On: Pro*, Premium & Enterprise Plans

*E-signatures are not available on Pro plans.


Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Log onto your Roofr dashboard and click the “Proposals” button on the left side navigation.

Step 2: Click on the proposal you want to send.

Step 3: Review the information to ensure everything is included and that it’s all correct.

Step 4: Once you’re done, click the “Review and send” button. 

Step 5: Next, enter your customer's name, email, and phone number. 


Note: This information will be used to email your customer a copy of the proposal to get their e-signature, and to include their details on the cover page of the proposal. E-signatures are not available on Pro plans.

Step 6: Once you’ve added their details, click the “Review and send” button.

Step 7: When you’re ready to send off to your customer, click the “Send to customer” button.

Step 8: Then, review the email address, and add a personalized message.

Step 9: Once you’re ready to send, click the “Send proposal” button, and you're done! Your customer will receive an email with your proposal attached. They can also open and e-sign the proposal digitally from their email.

Making edits to your proposal:


On the “Send to customer” screen: 

  1. Click the “Continue editing” button on the “Proposal Review” screen. 
  2. Make any edits desired and then click the “Review and send” button. 
  3. Next, click the “Send to customer” button and add a note. 
  4. Click “Send proposal” to send off to your customer.


After sending the proposal: 

  1. Go to the “Proposals” page, click on the desired proposal.
  2. Click the “Edit proposal” button on the top right and click “Cancel signature request and edit”. 
  3. Make any desired edits and then click “Review and send”.
  4. Next click the “Send to customer” button and add a note.
  5. Click “Send proposal” to send off to your customer.
