Setting Up Catalog Pricing with ABC Integration in Roofr

With your ABC integration, every time prices update in your ABC account, Roofr will automatically reflect those changes in your catalog. This setup guide offers two options:

  1. Search ABC’s Catalog Manually for each item.
  2. Use SKU Numbers and Bulk Upload a CSV.

Note: Currently, you can’t directly import products from your ABC account into Roofr. Instead, you link each item in your Roofr catalog to a corresponding item in your ABC catalog.

Option 1: Manually Search ABC’s Catalog for Items

Step 1: Access the Catalog in Roofr

  1. Go to the Catalog screen in Roofr.
  2. Click Edit next to any item you want ABC pricing for.

Step 2: Find Supplier Costs

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the item’s page.
  2. In the Supplier Costs section, click Add.
  3. Select the integrated version of ABC (avoid any old, manual ABC suppliers).

Step 3: Search ABC’s Catalog

  1. A search bar will appear. Type the name of the item for which you want to find ABC pricing.
  2. Roofr will automatically search your ABC integration for a product with the same title as your Roofr catalog line item, however you can change your Roofr line item to whatever you'd like.
    • Tip: When searching your ABC integration to link your ABC line item to Roofr, make sure it is the same product name as on your ABC material orders and ABC pricing sheets. While you can change the line item title in Roofr to whatever you'd like, it's important you have the right product linked in ABC to ensure correct pricing.

Step 4: Select an Item from ABC

  • Select the correct item from ABC’s catalog. If multiple colors are available, choose any color option (each color has a separate SKU).

Step 5: Verify Branch-Specific Pricing

After selecting an item, Roofr will gather prices from each branch you set up when creating the supplier integration.

Step 6: Complete!

Your Roofr item now has integrated ABC pricing. Prices update nightly, but you can manually refresh individual items or your entire catalog at any time.

Step 7: Repeat for All Items

Follow these steps for all material items in your catalog, ensuring you always have up-to-date ABC pricing!

Option 2: Using SKUs and Bulk Uploading a CSV

Step 1: Download Your Roofr Catalog as a CSV

  • Go to Manage Catalog, and download your catalog as a CSV file.

Step 2: Add ABC SKUs

  1. Open the CSV file.
  2. Find the column labeled abc_sku.
  3. Add ABC SKU numbers for each item.
    • Tip: You can find SKUs on your ABC invoices, in the myABCsupply app, or by asking your branch manager.

Step 3: Re-Upload the CSV

  1. Go back to Roofr, choose Manage CatalogUpload Catalog.
  2. Select Update existing catalog items.
  3. Upload your updated CSV file to complete the setup.

Step 4: Success!

Your entire catalog now has integrated ABC pricing, automatically updated every night.

FAQs & Tips

Does Roofr use my negotiated ABC prices?

Yes, Roofr uses the special pricing you’ve negotiated with ABC.

Do item names in Roofr need to match names in ABC?

No! You can link any Roofr item to any ABC item, regardless of name differences.

Does the pricing include sales tax?

Not yet. Roofr doesn’t include sales tax because ABC doesn’t provide this until an order is placed. We recommend adjusting your margin to cover tax in the meantime.

Why am I seeing unexpected prices?

Make sure the unit measurement in Roofr matches ABC (e.g., bundles, rolls). We’re working on adding more options, like square pricing, soon!

Why does an item show “no cost available”?

This usually means the item isn’t stocked at that branch or pricing isn’t available. If this doesn’t seem right, contact Roofr support.

How often does my pricing update?

Prices are automatically refreshed every night, and we notify you by email if changes occur. You can also manually update pricing from the catalog screen.

What if an item has multiple color SKUs?

We suggest linking to the most common or most expensive color SKU to keep things simple. Each color appears as a separate line item if you use the search method.

Do I have to link every item in my catalog?

Nope! Link only what you need. Any unlinked item will use your default unit cost, so you can add ABC pricing as you go.
