How to Set Up Your Goodleap Account

Learn how to quickly connect your Roofr account to your GoodLeap account.

What it does: Allows you to connect your GoodLeap account to your Roofr account so you and your employees can easily offer financing options to customers when sending out proposals.

  • Streamline applications with GoodLeap links on every proposal created.

  • Drive sales and close rates by decreasing sticker shock. When customers view their proposals, they will see “as low as” monthly payments making upcoming work and projects more affordable and approachable.

  • Simplify tracking with customer and job tags which show the basic terms of a loan for your customer, including their loan amount, as well as their max approval amount.

  • Differentiate yourself from the competition with GoodLeap application links on your website.

Here’s how it works:

Create a GoodLeap Account

Note: If you already have a Goodleap account, please view the section of this article called, “Existing GoodLeap Partners”

  1. Create a GoodLeap account. Start by navigating to: https://goodleap.com/partnerform/roofr/

  2. After your account is approved and created by GoodLeap, you will receive an email from the GoodLeap team with your account details, including two details: Username and Password. These will function as the API Username and Password within your Roofr account. 

    Note: If you are not seeing these details, please reach out to the GoodLeap API support team at [email protected]
  3. Once you receive your username and password, you’re ready to set your account up in Roofr by navigating your the Integrations tab within Settings.
  1. Click on the Connect button and enter in the username and password as it appears in the email that you received from GoodLeap.

    Note: This is not your username and password to log into goodleap.com. These details were shared with you via email.
  2. After you have entered your API username and password, you will need to enter in a GoodLeap user email address. This email should be registered with GoodLeap and given the permission to submit applications.
  3. And you’re all set! You can start leveraging the GoodLeap integration when sending and selling proposals to your customers!

Existing GoodLeap Partners:

  1. If you already have a GoodLeap account, then you will need to email the GoodLeap API support team to grant Roofr API access to your account. Below is an email template you can use to submit this request:

    To: [email protected]
    Subject: GoodLeap API Key Request
    Body:

    GoodLeap Team,
    I authorize Roofr to make API calls on the behalf of my <company name> Please respond with the appropriate API Keys so I can integrate GoodLeap within the Roofr platform. 

Note: If you need additional help submitting this request, reach out to your success manager and we can reach out to GoodLeap on your behalf.

  1. Once GoodLeap processes your request, you will receive an email with a PDF, within that PDF you will see a username and password. These will function as the API Username and Password within your Roofr account. 
  2. Once you receive your username and password, you’re ready to set your account up in Roofr by navigating your the Integrations tab within Settings.
  1. Click on the Connect button. In the first field, GoodLeap username, enter in API Key1 from your email. And in the Password field, enter in API Key2.

    Note: This is not your username and password to log into goodleap.com

  2. After you have entered your API username and password, you will need to enter in a GoodLeap user email address. This email should be registered with GoodLeap and given the permission to submit applications.

  3. And you're all set! You can start leveraging the GoodLeap integration when sending and selling proposals to your customers!

Using the Integration

Once your account has been updated to have the integration enabled, you will see a “Connected” symbol on the Integration Settings page.

  1. Access your GoodLeap application link by navigating to the Financing settings page. There, you will see the option to either open the application link, or copy the link. When you copy the link, you can add it to your website so customers can easily apply from there.
  1. GoodLeap application links can be added to your proposals moving forward by toggling on this setting in the proposal settings. We recommend updating your Proposal Templates to have this toggled on so that the link and monthly pricing will automatically be included in all future proposals.
  1. When you email a proposal that has financing enabled, your customers will see the following section appear in their proposal. Here they will be able to select which financing plan they would like to use and compare what their monthly payments will be, depending on that plan.
  1. After a customer is approved for financing, you will see their approval details appear on the proposal list page, the customer page, and the job detail page.
