ABC Integration and Roofr Proposals: FAQs

1. How do I know if my line items are connected to ABC Supply pricing?

To check if a line item is connected to ABC Supply pricing, go to the Catalog tab in your Roofr dashboard. In the Supplier column, look for the ABC logo next to the line items. This logo indicates that the item is successfully linked to ABC Supply pricing.

2. Can I edit the pricing on items linked to ABC Supply?

No, once a line item is connected to ABC Supply, it will be “grayed out,” meaning the pricing is locked and cannot be manually edited. Any updates to these prices must come directly from the integration with ABC Supply. If you need to edit a line item that has been linked to ABC supply, you can change your proposal supplier settings to Manual, and you’ll then be able to make adjustments. Please note, this will revert ALL line item pricing back to the manual pricing and unlink from ABC pricing, so make sure all your prices are correct!

3. How do I apply ABC Supply pricing to a proposal?

To use ABC Supply pricing in a proposal:

  1. Go to the Proposals tab and create a new proposal.
  2. Select your measurements and template.
  3. In the Estimate Settings section, select Supplier on the right and choose ABC Supply.
  4. Choose the branch location you want to use.

This will automatically apply ABC Supply’s real-time pricing from the selected branch to your proposal.

4. Can I set a default supplier and branch location at the template level?

Not at this time. Currently, supplier and branch selection is only available at the Proposal stage. However, Roofr may add this feature at the template stage in the future.

5. What if I have items that aren’t covered by ABC Supply, like admin fees or custom items?

For items not connected to ABC Supply (e.g., admin fees, dump fees), you can manually set the price and quantity. These items will remain editable, as they aren’t tied to any specific supplier pricing.

6. How do I see the final pricing before sending the proposal?

After setting up your proposal with ABC Supply pricing, click Save to confirm your settings. Then, use Preview and Send to review the proposal as the customer will see it before sending it out.

7. What happens if I don’t select a supplier during the proposal setup?

If you don’t select a supplier, Roofr will use the default pricing from your catalog. Selecting ABC Supply under Estimate Settings is necessary to pull in the ABC-specific pricing and branch location details.

8. Can I apply ABC Supply pricing to only specific line items in my proposal?

No, the integration applies ABC Supply pricing to all connected line items in the proposal. Any item that isn’t connected to ABC Supply can be customized manually, but once linked, ABC pricing is applied across those items

9. Can I have pricing from multiple supplier in my proposal?

No, the integration applies ABC Supply pricing to all connected line items in the proposal. You can only have one supplier in a proposal for now.
