Cameron's story

Cameron Burns

Cameron Burns didn't come from roofing. After 15 years in oil and gas construction — running a grueling six-days-on, one-day-off schedule and spending up to nine months a year away from home — he made a decision that would change everything. With his first kid on the way, he walked away from the golden handcuffs and bet on himself.

He discovered a roof rejuvenation product called Roof-Restore: A fraction of the cost of a full re-roof, extended roof life, less waste in the landfill? He was sold. Cameron saw the opportunity and ran with it. In Year 1, OK Roof Revival — based in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia — generated $500,000 in revenue almost entirely from rejuvenation.

But something interesting kept happening. Homeowners who called for rejuvenation didn't always qualify. Their roofs were too far gone. And when Cameron told them so, they'd often say: "Can you just do the roof then? I trust you." He got tired of saying no. So he started roofing.

By Year 2, he acquired the national distribution rights for Roof-Restore across Canada, doubling his Year 1 revenue and building out a network of licensed applicators from Toronto to Vancouver. Year 3 brought a new frontier: luxury roofing. His business partner Dan closed a $130,000 single-family project with Brava synthetic tiles — a job that cracked open an entirely new customer tier and a vision for where OK Roof Revival is headed next.

Today, the business runs on a three-tier model: rejuvenation for budget-conscious homeowners, asphalt replacement for the mid-market, and premium 50-year products like standing seam metal and synthetic tile for customers who never want to think about their roof again. It's a consultative approach built on trust — and it's working.

From Job Nimbus to Roofr — and never looking back

Cameron started using Roofr for roof measurement reports long before he thought about switching his CRM. When he finally made the move — after a painful three-month migration to Job Nimbus — he landed on Roofr and knew it was the last platform he'd ever need.

The instant estimator, customizable job stages, time-based automations, mobile app, and the ability to send re-engagement campaigns with dynamic fields have transformed how OK Roof Revival manages its pipeline. When Cameron goes to a home show on a weekend and books 30+ appointments, the automations make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

He's also become one of Roofr's most vocal beta testers — quick to flag what's working and what needs fixing, and excited every month for the Roofr Masterclass to see what's new.

The instant estimator tool is what finally got me to switch.
I jumped on a call with Nic, did my onboarding, and switched CRMs again — for the last time. Now I'm Roofr ride or die. I would never go back."
